15 SHILLINGS NORTH CAROLINA 1761 PROCLAMATION MONEY
Printed on thinner rag type non-watermarked paper. This issue is one of the earliest from almost any of the original 13 Colonies. It’s rather plain, one sided, but with a multitude of signatures ( Lewis de Rosset, John Starkey, John & Samuel Swann ) and reverse shows colonial scribblings, notations etc. It has several splits with a hinge repair. This money was worth what Queen Anne set it at and was enforced from 1704 until the start of the American Independence Movement in 1775.
