FRENCH INDO CHINA COINS of WORLD WAR II MADE UNDER 3 REGIMES (1939, 1940 & 1941)
French Indo China (Annam & Tonkin / Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos) in 1939 was still under France’s domination. But by 1940 the Germans overran the country and conveyed the Colony of French Indo-China to the Nazi Vichy regime, who in turn passed in on to the Japanese in 1941.
Here is a set of the coins of the 3 administrations (1939 France, in nickel / 1940 – Vichy, in nickel / 1941 USA, in copper-nickel; made at the San Francisco Mint) all featuring the same design of a Ms. France holding a stalk of rice.
Each coin measures approximately 3/4 of an inch in diameter.
Offered in this special set-of-3 format for $19.95.
