NATION’S LAST NOTE (1959) CHINA CONQUEST of TIBET with DALAI LAMA’S RED SEAL
These artistic and traditionally printed notes are the last of a nation’s history, having been overrun by China by 1959. There are many unique characteristics to these, such as the addition of poisonous vegetation to make the paper immune from insects and rodents. Serially numbered by hand. The Dalai Lama’s red circular seal is printed on the left and the black seal of the Lhasa Mint is on the right.
