NEW JERSEY 12 SHILLINGS TWO COLOR VERY HIGH GRADE MARCH 1776 Here’s an attractive12 Shillings genuine Colonial bill printed with both red & black inks on high fiber content brownish paper. The release of this was prompted by the stirring of the American Revolution ( which was not the case with the New Jersey notes issued about one month prior ). The colors are sharp with neat signatures ( Robert Smith, Jonathan Deare & John Smyth). The attractive well printed crest, is coupled with a fine nature-leaf print on the reverse. Printed by Issac Collins on heavy rag content paper with anti-counterfeiting mica flakes evident on both sides and the New Jersey watermark is left centered, but complete. This note is in very high grade condition with a slight centerfold with full margins on four sides ( although close on the left ). Serial # 20384
