Solon Borland ($50 Arkansas Bond 1861) – Senator (During an Early Senate Debate Over Southern Rights He Beat-up Mississippi Senator Henry Foote) / Soldier (Captain in the Fight Against Nat Turner’s Slave Revolt, Major of the Arkansas Volunteer Cavalry During the Mexican-American War, Commander of the State Militia in the Civil War) / Pow (in the Mexican-American War, Escaped) / Managua,  Nicaragua Diplomat (in 1853 Upon His Arrival He Demanded an Apology for an Altercation and When None Was Forthcoming, the Us Sent a Gunboat on His Request & Then Burned the City to the Ground) / Doctor & Pharmacist (Returning to Little Rock in 1854).. Also Appointed by President Pierce to Be Governor of New Mexico Territory, but Declined… Quite the Adventurer!
