Magnificent full (60 stamps = 5 rows of 12) no gum sheet of Scott # 62 / Stanley Gibbons # 80 (4 1/2 Piastres overprinted on 8 Piastres stamp). The upper margin shows the remnant of the plastic holder used to house this sheet with some perf separations running the length of the third row to the left, but not into the margins. With a variety of different (4 1/2) overprints (1940) and they were only sold as singles and at the largest, as blocks of 4. The issue was produced locally as an add-on to the airmail rate, used in large part by the Indian Army (approximate usage was 80,000 of the 120,000 printed – the entire issue was exhausted within a couple of months).
